Clare Schulze (Vice Principal)

Vice Principal - DEEP Support

I have worked for Outwood Grange Academies Trust since 2015 holding various roles. As Acting Vice Principal for Deep Support, I am responsible for behaviour and safety; attendance and inclusion; Praising Stars© intervention and impact; SEND and our ARC provision; Pupil Premium as well as line-managing PE, Performing Arts, Inclusion, the Learning Managers and the Attendance team. I am privileged to work closely with our students and I strive to ensure that each student in my care have the same life changes, that they can be whatever they aspire to be because each of them are awesome individuals!

My previous roles as a Senior Leader included Sixth form, BTEC QN, Gradu8 Program, leading NQT and ITT programmes, CPD and developing self-evaluation in the school. I started my teaching career in 2001, after completing my degree In Physical Education and securing qualified teacher status as part of my degree at the University of Chichester. As a teacher of PE I was quickly promoted to SSCO and continued to work at the Nottingham Emmanuel School for eight years. During that time I was also responsible for PSHE and was Head of Physical Education and Sport for six years, before taking on additional responsibility in the Sixth Form. In 2010 I joined Newbold Community School as Head of Sixth Form and was promoted to Assistant Principal prior to the school converting to Outwood Academy Newbold in 2015.
