Claire Attrill has a degree in human psychology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs Coordination. She has worked with children and young people with special educational needs over the past 10 years across a variety of sectors including family support, primary education and secondary education.
She started her career as Inclusion Coordinator at Outwood Academy Portland in 2014. Following this she moved to Outwood Academy City in 2017 to lead Inclusion and SEND and was part of the team that moved the Academy from requires improvement to Good with Outstanding Leadership.
Claire has a passion and a drive for outstanding outcomes for all students and to ensure a high level of inclusive provision. ‘Students first: Raising standards and transforming lives’ is at the heart of SEND and Inclusion and all students should experience a fully inclusive education, with access to a full and varied curriculum.
Since October 2018, Claire Attrill has become the Regional SEND Officer for the Southern Region.
