Hannah Burke, Year 9, has become a World Champion in two disciplines of her Martial Art Wadaru. Hannah went to compete in the championships in November in Miami, Florida USA and gained a number of trophies. However, her most impressive performances were in the Team Kata and Team Sparring competitions where she was crowned World Champion.
We are extremely proud of Hannah and her achievements. We were lucky enough to see her perform at the Active Chesterfield Sports Awards and it was wonderful to see the skill and technique applied to the variety of moves. Some moves were completed at full speed demonstrating real accuracy and some at a slower speed emphasising the control and precision she has developed.
We wish Hannah every success in the future with her martial arts and congratulate her on her success.
